UWLA Moot Court Webinar

April 28th, 2021

Please click HERE  for a webinar featuring UWLA's 2021 Roger Traynor Moot Court championship team. UWLA students Dahlia Maayah and Patricia Snyder won the prestigious statewide law student advocacy competition earlier this month, finishing first amongst 10 competing law schools. Those schools included UC Berkeley, UC Davis, McGeorge, and Loyola. We discussed how it is possible to excel in mock litigation competition involving much larger and very selective law schools and their full-time students, even while working full-time while attending UWLA. Both UWLA 2021 Traynor team members work full time, as is typical of UWLA moot court participants.

We were also joined by various UWLA Moot Court alumni, who similarly excelled in state-wide and national advocacy competitions while at UWLA. They will discuss how practical training education at UWLA affected and enhanced subsequent career opportunities. These alumni now practice in a variety of forms of litigation and include attorneys in private practice as well as public sector lawyers. Many have achieved significant legal milestones and we will be discussing how the Moot Court experience at UWLA can influence future success.
